About Us

  A professional musician for over 30 years, Louis has had the opportunity to perform in prominent venues all over the world and has opened and toured with a variety of well-known performers and musicians to include performances at the Montreaux Jazz Festival, the North Sea Jazz festival, and X-Fest. He studied Music Performance and Jazz at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks under prominent educator and trumpeter John Harbaugh  before enlisting in the U.S . Army in 2001. Over the years, Louis has performed with countless musical acts, has developed music curriculum for academic institutions, and has worked as a music educator. 

 Originally from East Texas, Reagan Hallick graduated from the University of Houston in 2023 with a bachelor's degree in Music Education. Although her primary studies were in Euphonium, she is also proficient in cello and bass guitar, beginning her musical journey in band, orchestra, and jazz since freshman year of high-school. She continued her musical education and performance by participating in University ensembles, such as the Spirit of Houston, Wind Ensemble, and Jazz Orchestra. Now, qualified to teach band and orchestra, she currently focuses on her jazz studies with both bass guitar and double bass. As she has chosen to reside in Houston, Texas, you can find Reagan performing around at  various events and in restaurants in Houston with other members of the local Jazz community. 

 Jimmy Morado has been a working musician since the age of 14, building a remarkable career through talent, experience, and dedication rather than formal musical training. Over the years, he toured internationally throughout Scandinavia and Russia with guitarist Mike Deasy and performed in Poland with Janny Grein. In 1992, Jimmy stepped away from life on the road to focus on raising his sons, choosing family over the demands of touring. Since then, he has remained an active and respected presence in the Houston music scene, bringing decades of professional experience, musical versatility, and a deep love of jazz to audiences throughout the region. 

 Dr. Woody Witt is a Professor of Music at Houston Community College and is the Instructor of Saxophone at the University of Houston Moores School of Music. Woody holds a Masters degree in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas, where he taught saxophone and jazz methods.  Witt received a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in performance from the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston in 2000.  As a jazz artist, Woody has had the opportunity to perform and record with some of the best practitioners of the art form including Randy Brecker, Billy Hart, David Kikoski, and Tim Hagans among countless others.

Robert Markoff is a native Houstonian who has been playing piano and bass semi-professionally since 1980. Through the years, he has played in several Rock & Roll bands, blues groups, big bands, and instrumental and vocal jazz groups. He is a graduate of the University of Houston with a degree in political science and a DDS degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He runs a full-time dental practice in Sugar Land, TX and plays music when not doing dentistry.
